End of tenancy cleaning in Enfield – Inventory checklist - Cleaning Enfield

End of Tenancy Cleaning in Enfield (EN)

The keys go back in a few days, the inventory clerk is booked, and the oven still looks like it did on moving day. Our end of tenancy cleaning in Enfield works through an agreed room-by-room checklist built from your inventory or your agent’s cleaning requirements, so the property is ready for check-out. We cover flats, terraces and family houses across EN, for tenants, landlords and letting agents.

Send us the property size, your move-out date and a few photos, and we’ll come back with a quote. You can also request a quote online.

What an inventory-standard clean covers

We clean to the inventory, not to “tidy enough to live in”. Check-out reports usually compare against the check-in condition, and clerks tend to look in the places a routine clean skips.

Kitchen

  • Cupboards and drawers wiped inside and out, including shelf edges and the crumbs in runner tracks
  • Worktops, splashbacks and tiles degreased, with grout lines scrubbed
  • Hob, control knobs and the extractor hood cleaned. We remove and degrease the extractor filters where they come out
  • Fridge and freezer cleaned inside, with shelves and drawers taken out and washed. Please defrost the freezer before we arrive
  • Sink, taps and plughole descaled, and the outside of appliances, handles and kickboards wiped
  • The washing machine’s detergent drawer and door seal, where it’s on the inventory

Bathrooms

  • Limescale removed from shower screens, taps, shower heads and tiles. Hard water is common locally, so build-up is too
  • Toilet cleaned all over, including the base, hinges and behind the cistern
  • Bath, basin, panels and seals cleaned. Mould staining is treated, but see the limits below
  • Mirrors, cabinets, extractor fan covers and towel rails

Bedrooms, living areas and hallways

  • Skirting boards, door frames, doors and handles
  • Light switches, sockets and radiators, including the gaps behind them where we can reach safely
  • Inside wardrobes, drawers and built-in storage
  • Window sills, frames and the inside of windows that can be reached safely
  • Hard floors vacuumed and mopped, carpets vacuumed thoroughly, including the edges

Extras worth agreeing upfront

Some jobs take their own time, equipment or method, so we quote for them separately. Check your tenancy agreement or inventory before booking. Agents often ask for evidence of professional carpet or oven cleaning.

  • Oven interiors. A badly carbonised oven needs racks, trays and glass doors soaked and worked on, not just wiped. Our oven cleaning service can be added to the same visit.
  • Carpets. Vacuuming lifts surface dirt. Hot-water extraction deals with the ground-in grime in hallways and under sofas. We can book carpet cleaning alongside your clean, and we’ll plan the order so carpets are done last and have time to dry.
  • External windows, conservatory roofs and high-level fittings.
  • Mattresses, upholstery and blinds, if they’re part of a furnished let.
  • Balconies, garages and sheds.

When cleaning isn’t the answer

Cleaning can’t repair wear or damage, and nobody can honestly promise a deposit back or a clean inventory pass. Scuffed paintwork, burns on worktops, etched glass and permanently stained grout are wear or damage, not dirt. Black mould that returns within days of cleaning usually points to damp or poor ventilation, which a landlord needs to look at. If we see something like this, we’ll tell you rather than charge you to scrub at it.

How your move-out clean runs

  1. Tell us about the property. Bedrooms, bathrooms, whether it’s furnished, and your check-out date. Photos of the oven, bathroom and anything you’re worried about help us quote accurately.
  2. We agree the checklist and quote. We use your inventory or agent’s list where you have one, add any extras, and confirm the price before booking. We’ll also confirm how re-clean requests work for your booking.
  3. Arrange access. Keys handed over in person, left with a neighbour or collected from the agent. We agree it in advance, along with arrival time and parking.
  4. We clean. We bring the products and equipment. You don’t need to buy anything.
  5. Final check. Before we leave, we go through the agreed tasks room by room.

What we need from you

  • An empty property. Moving boxes and furniture block skirting boards and cupboards. Clearing the place first gives the best result.
  • Working electricity and hot water. If they’re off, we can’t clean properly.
  • A defrosted freezer and empty kitchen cupboards.
  • Rubbish removed. We can’t take away bulky waste or bags of belongings.

How long does an end of tenancy clean take?

It depends on size and condition. A tidy one-bed flat in a purpose-built block is a much shorter job than a three-bed Victorian terrace with two bathrooms and a neglected oven. Larger homes usually get a team so the clean fits into one day.

Book as close to the key handover as you can, ideally after your last belongings have gone. If you need carpets done too, allow drying time before the inventory check.

What changes the price

We quote every end of tenancy job individually, and you’ll know the price before we start. The main factors are:

  • Size: number of bedrooms, bathrooms and reception rooms
  • Condition: a property cleaned regularly takes less time than one with years of grease and limescale
  • Furnished or unfurnished: furniture means more surfaces and more to move around
  • Extras: oven, carpets, upholstery, external windows
  • Access: stairs without a lift, parking restrictions, or keys collected from an agent

See our pricing page for how quotes are put together.

Tenants, landlords and agents in Enfield

We clean rented homes across Enfield: flats near the town centre and stations, terraces in Bush Hill Park, and family houses further out towards Forty Hill and Enfield Lock.

  • Tenants usually book us around the move: belongings out in the morning, clean in the afternoon, keys back the next day.
  • Landlords use us between tenancies so a property can be photographed and re-let.
  • Letting agents send us the inventory and access details, and we work to their list.

Tell us about parking when you book. Some streets near the town centre have permit restrictions, and knowing in advance saves time on the day. If the building has a concierge or a door code, let us know that too.

Products and methods

We check surfaces before we use anything strong. Natural stone worktops, brushed steel appliances, wooden floors and some shower screen coatings all react badly to the wrong chemical, so we use products suited to each one and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Bathroom and kitchen cloths are kept separate and colour-coded. Where we’re unsure about a finish, we try a small hidden area first. If you’d prefer eco-friendly products, ask when booking and we’ll check they’re suitable for the surfaces in your property.

What customers say

“The oven was the main thing I was dreading and it came up properly clean, racks and glass door included. The inventory clerk only flagged a scuff on the hallway wall, which was already on the check-in report.” Hannah R., Bush Hill Park, end of tenancy clean

“We left the keys with our neighbour as we’d already moved out of the area. Everything was arranged beforehand and the keys were back with her the same evening.” Daniel O., Enfield Lock, move-out clean

“I manage two flats and use them between tenants. They work from the agent’s checklist, so I’m not explaining the same things every time. The bathroom limescale in one flat was bad and they spent proper time on it.” Sunita K., Gordon Hill, tenancy handover cleaning

End of tenancy cleaning FAQs

Is the price fixed?

The price is agreed upfront, before we start. It’s based on the property details and photos you give us. If the property turns out very different from what was described, for example full of belongings or much dirtier than the photos showed, we’ll talk to you before doing any extra work.

Do you have a guarantee or re-clean policy?

Yes, for tasks within the agreed checklist. If something in scope has been missed, contact us promptly and we’ll arrange to put it right. We’ll confirm how re-cleans work and the reporting window when you book. It doesn’t cover wear, damage or items outside the agreed list.

Will this get my deposit back?

No cleaner can guarantee that. Deposit decisions depend on the inventory, the landlord and the property’s condition, including damage cleaning can’t fix. What we can do is clean thoroughly to the checklist your agent or inventory sets out.

Can you work to my agent’s checklist?

Yes. Send it with your enquiry and we’ll build the quote around it. If it asks for professional carpet or oven cleaning, we’ll include those as agreed extras.

Do I need to be there?

No. Many customers hand over keys and leave. We agree key handling and access in advance, and let you know when the job’s finished.

Can you clean while furniture is still in?

Yes for furnished lets, though empty rooms give the best results. If you’re still moving out, book the clean after the removal van has gone.

Do you cover the whole EN area?

We cover Enfield and the surrounding EN postcodes. Tell us the address when you enquire and we’ll confirm.
