Booking and Quotes
How do I get a quote, and is it free?
Yes, quotes are free and there’s no obligation to book. Tell us the property size, the rooms and tasks you want covered, the current condition and your preferred dates. You can do that through our free quote form, by phone or by email.
For one-off jobs such as a deep clean or an end-of-tenancy clean, a few photos help a lot. A shot of the oven, the bathroom and any heavily marked areas tells us more than a description of “quite dirty”. Larger commercial premises may need a short walkthrough before we quote.
What affects the price?
The main factors are the size of the property, its condition, the task list, how often you want us and how easy access is. A fortnightly clean of a tidy two-bedroom flat is a very different job from a first visit to a family home that hasn’t had a proper clean in months.
We agree the scope and the price upfront, including any extras, before any work starts. Our pricing page explains what pushes a quote up or down in more detail.
Do you cover my postcode?
We work across EN postcodes, including EN1, EN2 and EN3 around Enfield itself, and further out towards Barnet, Potters Bar and Cheshunt. Send us your postcode when you enquire and we’ll confirm whether we can reach you and which days are realistic. Coverage at the edges of the area depends on scheduling, so it’s always worth asking.
Can you come at short notice?
Sometimes. Short-notice slots depend on who’s available and where they’re working that day, so we can’t guarantee them. If you’ve got a tight deadline, such as a checkout inspection on Friday, contact us as early as you can and we’ll tell you honestly what’s possible.
Products and Equipment
Do your cleaners bring their own supplies?
Yes. We bring cleaning products, cloths, mops and a vacuum unless we’ve agreed otherwise. Some customers prefer us to use their own vacuum or a particular floor cleaner, and that’s fine. Just tell us when you book so the cleaner knows what to expect.
Can you use eco-friendly products?
Yes, eco-friendly product options are available on request. We’ll check they suit your surfaces, because gentler products work well on everyday kitchen worktops and glass but won’t shift heavy limescale on a hard-water shower screen as easily. Where a stronger product is needed, we’ll talk to you first rather than swap without asking.
What should I tell you about delicate surfaces?
Tell us about anything that reacts badly to the wrong product. Common examples:
- Marble, granite or limestone worktops and bathroom tiles, which acidic descaling products can etch
- Oiled or waxed wooden floors and furniture
- Matt-finish or chalk-painted walls that mark if scrubbed
- Antique pieces, specialist stoves or high-gloss kitchen doors
If you have a product you know works on a particular surface, leave it out and we’ll use it.
Access, Keys and Pets
Do I need to be home during the clean?
No. Plenty of our regular customers in Enfield are at work when we visit. We agree access, key handling and arrival arrangements in advance, so the cleaner knows exactly how to get in and how to leave the property secure.
How do you handle keys?
We’ll agree it with you before the first visit. Options people commonly use include a key safe, a key left with a neighbour, a concierge or managing agent holding keys, or you letting us in and keeping the key yourself. Tell us about alarm codes, tricky locks, gate fobs or parking restrictions too. A few minutes of detail here saves a lot of time on the doorstep.
Is it okay if I have pets?
Yes. Let us know what pets you have and whether they’ll be loose, crated or out of the house. It matters for allergies within our team, for keeping doors closed, and for choosing products around pet bowls and bedding. If you’d like us to pay extra attention to hair on sofas or stairs, add it to the task list.
Preparing for Your Clean
How should I prepare for a deep clean?
A little clearing makes a big difference to what we can reach in the time agreed. Before a deep clean:
- Clear worktops, bathroom shelves and surfaces where you can, so we clean them rather than move clutter around.
- Empty kitchen cupboards and the fridge if you want the insides cleaned. We can’t wipe properly around a full shelf of tins.
- Pick up clothes, toys and loose items from floors so we can get under beds and into corners.
- Tell us about any areas that matter most, such as a greasy extractor hood or a mouldy shower seal.
- Make sure we have hot water and working lights.
You don’t need to pre-clean. That’s our job.
How long does a regular clean take?
It depends on the size of the home, how many people and pets live there and what’s on your priorities list. When we quote, we’ll give you an idea of time on site for your property.
Expect the first visit to take longer. We’re bringing the home up to a standard that later visits can maintain, and the cleaner is learning where everything goes. After that, a regular clean follows an agreed priorities list: kitchens, bathrooms, dusting, floors and anything else you’ve chosen. Deep tasks such as oven interiors, carpet extraction, high-level work and external windows aren’t automatically included and are quoted separately.
What’s the difference between a regular clean and a deep clean?
A regular clean keeps a home in good order: wiping kitchen surfaces and fronts, cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming and mopping, dusting reachable surfaces. A deep clean goes further, into skirting boards, door frames, behind appliances, limescale build-up and grime that has had time to settle. Many people book a deep clean first, then move to regular visits.
Can you guarantee I’ll get my deposit back after an end-of-tenancy clean?
No cleaner can honestly guarantee that. For an end-of-tenancy clean we work to a room-by-room checklist based on your inventory or your agent’s cleaning requirements, so send us those documents if you have them. Cleaning can’t fix wear and tear or damage, such as scuffed paintwork, burnt worktops or carpet that’s worn thin, and those are often what deductions are actually about.
Payments, Rescheduling and Missed Tasks
How do I pay, and can I get a receipt?
We’ll confirm accepted payment methods and when payment is due when we confirm your booking. You can ask for a receipt or invoice for any clean, which landlords, letting agents and businesses usually need for their records.
What’s your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Give us as much notice as you can. That lets us offer the slot to someone else and find you a new time that works. Any cancellation terms, including notice periods and whether a charge applies for late cancellation, are set out when you book, so you’ll know where you stand before the visit. For regular cleans, tell us early about holidays and we’ll pause or move visits.
What if I’m not satisfied with the clean?
Contact us promptly and tell us what’s wrong, ideally with a photo. Before leaving, our cleaner checks the work against the agreed tasks. If something within the agreed scope has still been missed, we’ll arrange to put it right. We’ll confirm re-clean eligibility and the reporting window when you book.
It helps to know what was in scope. If the oven interior or the inside of the windows weren’t on the agreed list, they won’t have been cleaned, but we’re happy to add them next time.
Still Have a Question?
Call us on 020 4634 5302 or email info@cleaning-enfield.co.uk with your postcode, the type of clean and roughly when you need it. We’ll talk through the job, agree what’s included and send you a clear quote before anything is booked.
