One-Off Cleaning in Enfield (EN)
Sometimes a home only needs one proper going-over. Family might be arriving on Friday, a busy month might have let the flat slip, or there’s a spring clean you keep putting off. Our one-off cleaning in Enfield is a single visit built around the jobs you actually need doing, for homes and small businesses across EN. There’s no contract and no regular slot to commit to. We agree a list, and a vetted, insured cleaner works through it.
Call 020 4634 5302 or send us a few photos and a rough list of what’s bothering you, and we’ll come back with a free quote.
What a single visit clean can cover
Every one-off clean starts with your priorities. These are the tasks we’re most often asked for.
Kitchen
- Worktops, splashbacks and tiles degreased, including behind the kettle and toaster
- Hob cleaned, with burner caps and pan supports lifted out
- Cupboard doors, handles and plinths wiped, where the grease and fingerprints build up
- Outside of appliances, the microwave inside and out, and the sink and taps descaled
- Extractor hood exterior wiped and, if agreed, metal filters soaked and degreased
Bathrooms
- Limescale tackled on taps, shower heads, screens and tiles
- Toilet cleaned all over, including the base, hinges and behind the pan
- Bath, basin, plugholes and overflows cleaned
- Mirrors, shelves, extractor fan cover and skirting wiped down
Bedrooms, living areas and hallways
- Dusting from picture rails and door frames down to skirting boards
- Light switches, door handles and banisters wiped
- Window sills and the inside of reachable windows
- Under beds and sofas vacuumed where furniture can be safely moved
Floors
Carpets are vacuumed edge to edge, and hard floors are vacuumed and mopped with a product suited to the finish. Laminate, sealed wood, vinyl and stone each get different treatment.
Light refresh or deep clean: which do you need?
A refresh visit suits a home that’s broadly under control but needs catching up. A deeper visit is for build-up: grease on cupboard tops, limescale ringing the shower tray, dust behind radiators, grime in the grout. It takes noticeably longer, so it’s priced differently.
If you want to book a one-off deep clean, tell us which rooms matter most. Our deep cleaning service explains what the fuller version covers. For a spring clean, most people mix the two: a thorough kitchen and bathroom with a lighter pass through the bedrooms.
Moving out? A tenancy clean needs to follow the inventory and the agent’s requirements, so we handle it as an end of tenancy clean with its own room-by-room checklist.
Extras we quote separately
These can be added to your visit but aren’t assumed. Each needs time, kit or products agreed in advance.
- Oven interior, including racks, glass door and trays
- Inside the fridge and freezer. Defrost the freezer beforehand
- Inside kitchen cupboards and wardrobes. These need emptying first
- Carpet or upholstery extraction cleaning. Allow drying time before you walk on it or use it
- High-level work such as tall cornicing, skylights or stairwell windows
- External windows
When cleaning isn’t the answer
We’ll tell you honestly if a cleaner isn’t the right person for the job. Black mould that keeps returning usually points to damp or ventilation problems, and that needs a surveyor or landlord. Etched shower glass, scratched worktops and sun-faded carpet won’t come back with cleaning. We don’t handle asbestos, sharps, biohazards or anything that needs a specialist contractor. Old stains are often improved, but we won’t promise they’ll disappear.
How booking works
- Tell us about the job. Send the property size, the rooms you care about and a few photos. Photos let us quote accurately without guessing.
- We agree the checklist and the price. You’ll get a clear list of tasks and extras, with the price agreed upfront before anyone arrives.
- We sort out access. That covers arrival time, keys, alarm codes, parking and whether you’ll be in.
- We clean. Your cleaner brings supplies and equipment unless we’ve agreed otherwise, and works through the list.
- We check the work. Before leaving, the cleaner goes back over the agreed tasks. If something in scope has been missed, get in touch promptly and we’ll arrange to put it right. We’ll confirm how that works when you book.
What to prepare before a one-off clean
You don’t need to clean before the cleaner comes, but a little preparation means your time goes on cleaning.
- Clear worktops, the floor and surfaces of clutter so we can reach them properly
- Empty any cupboards or the fridge you’ve asked us to clean inside
- Tell us about delicate surfaces: marble, unsealed wood, natural stone, antiques
- Mention pets, allergies or products you’d rather we didn’t use. Eco-friendly options are available, checked against each surface
- Let us know about parking. Many Enfield streets have permit bays or tight terraced parking, and a nearby space or visitor permit saves time
- Put away valuables, paperwork and anything you don’t want moved
How long does a one-off clean take?
It depends on size and condition far more than room count. A tidy flat needing a refresh may take a few hours. A family house with a heavy kitchen and two limescaled bathrooms can take most of a day, or need two cleaners. We’ll give you a realistic time estimate with your quote, so you know when we’ll be finished.
What changes the price of a one-off clean
- Property size: bedrooms, bathrooms and number of floors
- Condition: a refresh is quicker than months of build-up
- Task list: which rooms, and how deep in each
- Extras: oven, fridge, inside cupboards, carpets
- Access: parking, stairs, lifts and key arrangements
- Timing: weekend or out-of-hours requests
Our pricing page explains how quotes are put together. We’d always rather quote from photos than guess, because that’s how you avoid paying for the wrong kind of clean.
The best time to book a single visit clean
- Spring and early summer, when the light shows up every smear. Book early, because this is when many Enfield households want the same thing.
- Before guests or a celebration. Book for a day or two ahead, not the morning of.
- After decorating or a small job. Wait until the trades have finished, or the dust settles again.
- Before moving in. An empty property is quicker to clean properly, with no furniture in the way.
- Weekday slots usually offer more choice than weekends, though short-notice bookings depend on availability.
Ad hoc cleaning for shops and offices in Enfield
One-off visits suit businesses too. Typical jobs include a reset before a reopening, a clean-up after a refit, or a catch-up before an inspection or client visit. We’ll work around your opening hours where we can, clearing crumbs from under desks, wiping fingerprints from entrance glass and descaling the staff kitchen. Larger premises may need a quick walkthrough before we quote.
How we keep surfaces safe
- We check the material first. Acidic descalers stay away from marble and natural stone, and abrasive pads stay off stainless steel and gloss finishes.
- We patch test on unfamiliar or delicate surfaces before going further.
- We keep cloths separate. Bathroom and kitchen cloths are colour-coded and never swapped.
- We follow product instructions, including dwell times and dilution, and we keep rooms ventilated.
- We rinse food areas. Worktops and chopping areas are left ready for food preparation.
What customers say
“We had twelve people coming for my dad’s 70th and the house was a state. They did the kitchen properly, hob, cupboard fronts, even the extractor filters, and both bathrooms. I spent the day shopping instead of scrubbing.” Helen R., Bush Hill Park, one-off clean
“Booked a spring clean for the first time. Sent photos, got a clear list back, and the shower screen looks new. They said upfront the grout staining near the tray might not fully lift, and it didn’t, but it’s much better.” Daniel O., Enfield Lock, spring cleaning
“I was at work, so I left keys with my neighbour. Everything was done when I got home and the keys were back where we’d agreed.” Sana K., Gordon Hill, single visit clean
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to sign up for regular cleaning to book a one-off?
No. A single visit is exactly that. If you like the result and want ongoing help, we can set up regular cleaning, but there’s no obligation.
Can I book a one-off deep clean in Enfield?
Yes. Tell us which rooms need the deeper treatment, send photos if you can, and we’ll quote for the time it realistically needs.
Do you bring your own products and equipment?
Yes, unless we’ve agreed otherwise. If you have products you prefer, or surfaces that need something specific, tell us before the visit.
Do I need to be home?
No. Plenty of customers leave a key or arrange access through a neighbour or key safe. We agree the arrangements before the day.
Is the oven included?
Not automatically. The hob and the outside of the oven are usually included, but oven interiors are an extra because they take time and specialist products.
What if something’s missed?
Contact us promptly with details, and photos if you can. If it was on the agreed list, we’ll arrange to put it right.
Can you clean after builders?
Light dust after a small job, yes. Fine plaster dust after a renovation settles again for days and needs a different approach, so we’ll quote it as a separate clean.
