What we clean on a regular visit
A regular clean keeps on top of the rooms you use every day. It isn’t a top-to-bottom reset. We agree the tasks with you first, then work through them in the same order each time so nothing gets skipped.
Kitchen
- Wipe worktops, splashbacks and the hob, including the grease that builds up behind it
- Clean the outside of the oven, fridge, dishwasher and microwave, plus the inside of the microwave
- Wipe cupboard fronts and handles, where fingerprints collect first
- Clean and polish the sink and taps
- Empty the bins, wipe them over and sweep and mop the floor
Bathrooms and toilets
- Descale and clean the shower screen, bath, basin and taps. Hard water leaves limescale on glass and chrome quickly, so regular attention stops it setting in
- Clean the toilet inside and out, including the base and the hinges of the seat
- Wipe tiles at reachable height, mirrors and the bathroom cabinet front
- Mop the floor, getting into the corners behind the door
Living areas and bedrooms
- Dust reachable surfaces, skirting boards, picture frames and windowsills
- Vacuum carpets and rugs, and vacuum and mop hard floors
- Plump cushions, straighten throws and make beds or change bed linen if you leave fresh sheets out
- Clean internal glass doors and fingerprints around light switches and door frames
Stairs and hallways
- Vacuum stairs edge to edge, which matters in the narrow staircases of many terraced and semi-detached homes
- Wipe banisters and the inside of the front door
How often should we come?
Most households choose one of three frequencies. The right one depends on how many people live there, whether you have pets and how much mess daily life creates.
- Weekly cleaning is the best fit for families with young children, pet owners and busy shared homes. Kitchens and bathrooms never reach the point where they need serious scrubbing.
- Fortnightly cleaning suits couples and smaller households. It’s the most popular middle ground, with enough attention to keep limescale and dust under control.
- Monthly cleaning works for tidy, low-traffic homes, or as a top-up alongside your own weekly routine. Expect each visit to take a little longer, because there’s more to catch up on.
If your home hasn’t had a proper clean for a while, we’ll usually suggest starting with a deep cleaning visit and then moving onto a regular schedule. That way your regular visits go on upkeep, not catching up.
Picking the best day for your clean
Choose the day based on how your week actually goes. Here’s what tends to work for customers in Enfield:
- Friday gives you a clean house going into the weekend, especially if you have guests.
- Monday or Tuesday clears the weekend mess, which suits households that cook and entertain at weekends.
- The day before your bin collection means we’re emptying bins while the bags still have somewhere to go.
- A day you’re out makes it easier for us to work room by room without moving around you.
We’ll do our best to give you the same time slot each visit. Popular days fill up, so let us know if you’re flexible.
Extras and what a routine visit doesn’t cover
Some jobs take longer or need different equipment, so we quote them separately rather than squeezing them into the regular visit. Ask about these as one-offs or as an occasional rotation:
- Oven interiors, racks and the glass between the doors. Our oven cleaning service deals with baked-on carbon properly
- Inside the fridge or freezer, which needs to be emptied first
- Inside kitchen cupboards, which also need to be cleared
- Carpet and upholstery extraction
- High-level work such as tops of tall wardrobes, light fittings and cornicing that needs a ladder
- External windows
- Ironing, laundry or tidying beyond putting things back where they live
A clean can’t fix everything. Black mould from structural damp, water staining from a leak, or worn and damaged finishes need a repair, not more scrubbing. If we spot something like that, we’ll tell you rather than charge you to treat the symptom.
How it works
- Get in touch. Tell us the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, any pets and how often you’d like us. Photos help if there’s a problem area you want to show.
- Agree the checklist and quote. We’ll put together a priorities list and price it before any work starts. If a room matters more to you, such as a home office or a child’s bedroom, we’ll reflect that.
- Sort out access. Some customers are home, some leave a key with a neighbour and some use a key safe. We’ll agree what works and how keys are handled before the first visit.
- We clean. We bring our own supplies and equipment unless you’d prefer we use yours. Eco-friendly product options are available on request.
- Final check. Before we leave, we check the work against the agreed tasks. If something on the list has been missed, contact us promptly and we’ll arrange to put it right. We’ll confirm how that works when you book.
All you need to do before each visit is clear the surfaces you want wiped and pick up toys or clothes from the floor. We can clean around clutter, but we can’t clean under it.
What changes the price
Regular cleaning is priced on the time and effort your home needs. The main factors are:
- The size of the property and the number of bathrooms
- Its condition at the first visit
- How often we come, because more frequent visits usually take less time each
- The tasks on your checklist and any extras
- Pets, especially those that shed heavily
- Access and parking, including permit zones near the town centre
You can see how we work out costs on our pricing page. Your price is agreed upfront, so you know where you stand before we start.
Same cleaner, same standards
We aim to send the same cleaner each visit where possible. They’ll learn where the hoover lives, which worktop is marble and how you like the cushions. If your usual cleaner is on holiday or off sick, we’ll let you know and send a cover cleaner working from the same written checklist. That way, the cover visit doesn’t depend on someone’s memory.
All our cleaners are vetted and insured.
Looking after your home properly
Good regular cleaning is about using the right product on the right surface, every time.
- Separate cloths for the toilet, the rest of the bathroom and the kitchen, colour-coded so they never cross over.
- Surface checks first. Marble, granite and natural stone don’t react well to acidic limescale removers. Oiled wood and some painted finishes need gentler products. Tell us what your surfaces are, and we’ll test a small hidden area if we’re unsure.
- Product instructions followed, including dwell times and rinsing, so worktops and the high chair tray are safe to use straight after.
- Pets and allergies noted on your checklist, so we know to keep a door shut or avoid a fragranced product.
Changing, pausing or adding to your schedule
Life changes and your cleaning can change with it. You can move from weekly to fortnightly, add an extra visit before a family gathering, or pause bookings while you’re away. Just give us as much notice as you can, and we’ll confirm how much notice we need when you book. Short-notice changes depend on availability, but we’ll always try to fit you in.
What our customers say
“We have two dogs and a toddler, so weekly was the only option. The kitchen floor and the stairs are done properly every time, and they always shut the dogs in the utility room like we asked.” Hannah R., Bush Hill Park, weekly cleaning
“Fortnightly suits us. The shower screen used to be white with limescale and now it actually stays clear.” Daniel O., Gordon Hill, fortnightly cleaning
“I work nights so I’m asleep when they come. We agreed which rooms to leave and they’ve stuck to it. Key goes back in the safe every time.” Marcia T., Enfield Lock, regular cleaning
“Started with a deep clean because I’d let things slide after the baby arrived, then went monthly. Good to have the bathroom sorted without thinking about it. I’ve added the oven a couple of times too.” Kemal Y., Ponders End, monthly cleaning
Regular cleaning FAQs
Do I need to be home during the clean? No. Many customers leave a key with a neighbour or use a key safe. We’ll agree access and key handling before the first visit.
Will I get the same cleaner every time? Usually, yes. We aim to send the same cleaner where possible. If cover is needed, they’ll work from your written checklist.
Do you bring cleaning products and equipment? Yes, we bring supplies and equipment unless we’ve agreed otherwise. Tell us about any delicate surfaces, allergies or products you’d like us to use or avoid.
Can I change what’s on the checklist? Yes. Tell us before the visit and we’ll update your priorities list. If the changes add a lot of time, we’ll agree any price change with you first.
Is oven cleaning included in a regular visit? No. We wipe the outside of the oven and the hob, but cleaning the oven interior is a separate job and is quoted as an extra.
Can I pause my regular bookings? Yes. Let us know your dates as early as you can and we’ll hold off until you’re back. Your usual slot depends on availability when you restart.
What’s the difference between regular cleaning and a deep clean? Regular cleaning maintains your home on a schedule. A deep clean covers the build-up a routine visit doesn’t, such as limescale on grout, behind appliances and the details of every room. Many customers start with one and then move to the other.
Do you clean flats as well as houses in Enfield? Yes. We clean flats, maisonettes and houses. For flats, let us know about entry codes, parking and which floor you’re on.
