Kitchen Cleaning in Enfield (EN)
Grease settles where you stop noticing it: on top of the wall units, in the cooker hood filter and along the strip of tile behind the hob. Our kitchen cleaning service in Enfield removes that build-up and leaves a kitchen you’re happy to cook in again. We clean family homes, rented flats and staff kitchens across EN. Send us a few photos or give us a call, and we’ll agree the tasks and the price before anyone arrives.

What we clean in your kitchen
We agree a checklist with you before every job. A thorough kitchen clean usually covers the following areas.
Worktops, splashbacks and tiles
- We clear and clean the worktops, including the back edge, where crumbs and grease collect against the wall.
- We degrease tiled splashbacks and scrub the grout lines with a brush.
- We clean glass and stainless steel splashbacks, then buff them so they don’t streak.
- We clean the wall tiles around the cooker, which pick up a sticky film from frying.
Cooker hood, hob and appliance exteriors
- We degrease the cooker hood canopy inside and out. Removable metal mesh filters are soaked and degreased.
- We clean ceramic and induction hob glass with products suited to the surface. On gas hobs, we soak the pan supports and burner caps.
- We clean the outside of the fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave, including the fronts, handles, door seals and tops.
- We wipe the outside of the kettle, toaster and coffee machine.
Cupboards, doors and fittings
- We clean cupboard doors, handles and plinths, where fingerprints and splashes dry hard.
- We clean the tops of the wall units. In most kitchens these carry a layer of greasy dust.
- We wipe light switches, sockets, door frames and skirting.
- We descale the sink, taps and drainer, and clean the plughole and overflow.
Floors and finishing touches
- We vacuum and mop the floor, including the edges, under the kickboards we can reach and behind the bin.
- We wash the bin inside and out.
- We give the fridge handle, tap levers and cupboard pulls a final wipe.
A regular visit covers a lighter set of tasks: worktops, hob, sink, appliance fronts and the floor. Bigger jobs are either rotated into the schedule or booked as a separate deep cleaning visit when the whole home needs attention.
Extras that need agreeing in advance
Some tasks take extra time or need the kitchen prepared first, so we quote them separately.
- Inside cupboards and drawers. These need to be empty. You can box the contents up beforehand, or ask us to empty and refill them, which adds time to the job. We wipe the shelves, hinges and drawer runners, then let them dry fully before anything goes back in.
- Inside the oven. A badly carbonised oven needs its own time and products. We book this as oven cleaning rather than squeezing it into a general visit.
- Inside the fridge and freezer. Empty the fridge before we arrive. Freezers need defrosting first, which can take several hours, so start the night before.
- Behind and under appliances. We only do this where the appliance is on wheels or can be pulled out safely. We don’t disconnect plumbing or gas.
- Extractor ducting and motors. These fall outside a cleaning visit and need an appliance or ventilation engineer.
When cleaning won’t fix the problem
Black mould that keeps returning around a window or behind the units is usually caused by condensation or damp. We can clean the visible growth on suitable surfaces, but it will return unless the ventilation or the leak is fixed.
Some problems are damage rather than dirt. Peeling vinyl wrap on doors, swollen worktop joints, etched granite and scratched stainless steel can’t be cleaned away. We’ll point these out rather than scrub at them and make them worse. If there are signs of pests, such as droppings, call pest control before booking a clean.
How booking a kitchen clean works
- Tell us about your kitchen. Let us know its rough size, when it was last deep cleaned and what bothers you most. Photos of the hob, hood and splashback help us quote accurately.
- We agree the checklist and price. You’ll know what’s included and what counts as an extra before you confirm the booking.
- We arrange access. You can be at home, leave a key with a neighbour or give us a key safe code. Tell us about parking too, because many roads in Enfield have permit bays or pay-and-display.
- We clean. We bring our own products, cloths and equipment unless you’ve asked us to use yours.
- We check our work against the list. Before leaving, the cleaner goes back through the agreed tasks. If we’ve missed something that was in scope, contact us promptly and we’ll arrange to put it right. We’ll confirm the reporting window when you book.
How to prepare: Clear the worktops of anything you don’t want moved. Empty any cupboards that are part of the job. Run the dishwasher the night before so the sink is free when we arrive.
What affects the price of kitchen cleaning
Our pricing page explains how we put quotes together. For kitchens, these are the main factors:
- Size and layout. A galley kitchen in a flat is a smaller job than an open-plan family kitchen with an island.
- Condition. Months of grease on the hood and wall units takes far longer to remove than a few weeks’ worth.
- Extras. Cupboard interiors, the oven, the fridge and the freezer all add time.
- Frequency. Regular visits keep each clean shorter.
- Surfaces needing extra care. Natural stone, lacquered doors and oiled wood take longer to clean safely.
- Access and parking.
We agree the price before work starts, so there are no surprises on the day.
Family kitchens, rentals and staff kitchens
Family homes. Your kitchen won’t stop being used just because it’s being cleaned, so we can plan the visit around school runs and mealtimes. If you have pets, keep them out of the kitchen while products are in use and the floor is drying. Tell us where the food and water bowls go so we can put them back afterwards.
Moving out. The kitchen is where inventory reports most often find problems: hood filters, the oven, limescale on taps and crumbs inside drawers. If you’re cleaning the whole property, our end of tenancy cleaning works to the inventory room by room. Cleaning can’t repair wear or damage, and no cleaner can guarantee your deposit back.
Offices and shops. Staff kitchens need different attention: splattered microwaves, kettles full of limescale and fridges full of forgotten lunches. We’ll agree a fridge policy with you first, such as clearing out anything unlabelled on Fridays. We can work before opening or after closing for businesses in Enfield and across EN, depending on availability.
Getting the products and surfaces right
Kitchen surfaces get damaged by the wrong product far more often than by dirt.
- Granite, marble and quartz. Acidic products such as vinegar and limescale removers can etch natural stone, so we use pH-neutral cleaners.
- Oak and other wooden worktops. We use as little water as possible and dry the surface straight away.
- High-gloss and lacquered doors. We use soft cloths only, because scouring pads leave fine scratches.
- Stainless steel. We clean in the direction of the grain so it doesn’t streak.
- Test patches. We try a product on a hidden area first when a surface is unfamiliar or delicate.
- Separate cloths. Our kitchen cloths are kept separate from our bathroom cloths.
- Sanitising worktops. If you ask for sanitisation, we follow the contact time on the product label. Then we rinse food-preparation surfaces where the instructions say to, so they’re safe to use. This reduces germs on the surfaces we treat. It doesn’t make a kitchen sterile.
Eco-friendly products are available on request. We’ll check they’re suitable for each surface first.
What customers say
“The hood filter hadn’t been touched since we moved in and I’d assumed it needed replacing. It came back silver. They also told me the worktop joint by the sink was swelling, which I hadn’t noticed.” Helen R., Bush Hill Park, kitchen deep clean
“Booked the cupboard interiors as an add-on before our inventory check. I boxed everything up the night before, as they suggested, and the job took far less time because of it.” Tomasz W., Ponders End, kitchen cleaning
“Our office kitchen was a disgrace, the microwave especially. They come in after we close now and the fridge gets cleared every Friday. Nobody’s complained since.” Asha P., Brimsdown, staff kitchen cleaning
“Keys left with my neighbour, all sorted by the time I got home. Splashback grout looks new.” Gary M., Enfield Lock, kitchen cleaning
Kitchen cleaning FAQs
Do you bring your own cleaning products?
Yes. We bring products, cloths and equipment. If you’d rather we used your products, or you need fragrance-free or eco-friendly options, tell us when you book.
Is inside the oven included?
Not as standard. Oven interiors need dedicated time, so we quote them separately or book them as an oven clean.
Can you clean inside my kitchen cupboards?
Yes, as an add-on. The cupboards need to be empty before we start, or we can empty and refill them for you, which adds time. We dry the shelves fully before anything goes back.
How long does a kitchen deep clean take?
It usually takes a few hours. The exact time depends on the size of the kitchen, how much grease has built up and which extras you add. We’ll give you an estimate with your quote.
Will degreasing damage my splashback or hood?
Not if the product suits the surface. We check what the splashback and hood are made from and test unfamiliar finishes first. Painted or wrapped surfaces that are already peeling can lift, and we’ll flag this before we start.
Do you cover all of Enfield?
Yes. We work across Enfield and the wider EN area. Tell us your postcode and we’ll confirm availability.
Can I book a kitchen clean on its own?
Yes. Many customers book the kitchen alone, or add it to a regular visit when it needs more than routine attention.
