How Our Cleaning Service Process Works in Enfield
Our cleaning service process in Enfield is simple. You tell us about the property and the job, we agree the scope and price before anyone arrives, our cleaner works through an agreed checklist, and we check the work against that list before leaving. It works the same way for a weekly clean in Bush Hill Park, a move-out flat in Enfield Lock or an office in Brimsdown.
This page explains each stage, so you’ll know what we need from you, what happens on the day, and what to do if anything isn’t right.
The four stages, from first message to finished clean
- Enquiry. You send us the property details and what needs doing.
- Scope and quote. We confirm the tasks, any extras and the price, free and with no obligation.
- Access and cleaning. We agree how we’ll get in, then our vetted, insured cleaner carries out the agreed work.
- Final check and feedback. We check the work against the task list, and you tell us how it went.
Step 1: What to tell us when you get in touch
The more we know at the start, the more accurate the quote and the fewer surprises on the day. Call 020 4634 5302, email info@cleaning-enfield.co.uk, or use the free quote request form and include:
- Property type and size: flat, terrace, semi or detached, with the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. For commercial premises, the rough floor area and number of rooms.
- The type of clean: regular, one-off, deep, end of tenancy, after builders, or a specific task such as an oven or carpets.
- Current condition: be honest. A kitchen that’s had a light wipe each week takes much less time than one with baked-on grease on the hob and a clogged extractor filter.
- Priority tasks: limescale on the shower screen, skirting boards, inside the fridge, crumbs under office desks.
- Preferred dates and times, plus any deadline, such as a check-out inspection or a shop opening.
- Access details: keys, fobs, parking and alarm codes. We’ll confirm the specifics later.
- Photos for one-off jobs. Pictures of the oven, bathroom and any problem areas let us quote properly without guessing.
Step 2: How we scope the job and agree a price
A quote depends on the property’s size and condition, the tasks you want, how often we’ll visit and how easy access is. We don’t send a number and work it out later. We agree the scope, price and any extras before work starts.
A few things are quoted separately because they need extra time or equipment:
- Oven interiors
- Carpet extraction cleaning
- High-level work
- External windows
None of these are automatically included in a routine visit. If you’d like them, tell us and we’ll add them to the quote. There’s more on what affects cost on our pricing page.
For end-of-tenancy work, send us the inventory or the agent’s cleaning requirements if you have them. We’ll build a room-by-room checklist around them, so we’re cleaning to the standard the property will be checked against. Our end of tenancy cleaning page explains this in more detail. Cleaning can’t fix wear, scuffs or damage, and no cleaner can guarantee a deposit return or an inventory pass. A thorough, well-documented clean gives you the best footing.
Commercial premises usually need a short walkthrough before we quote. That’s how we find out where the bins go, which rooms are locked, what’s carpeted, and when the building is quiet enough to work.
Booking and confirmation in Enfield: what we agree in writing
When you’re happy with the quote, we confirm the booking with:
- The date and arrival time, or arrival window
- The agreed task list
- Any extras and the agreed price
- How access will work
- Anything specific we need to know, such as pets, allergies or delicate surfaces
- How to report anything missed, and whether a re-clean applies to your type of job
If you need to change the date, let us know as early as possible. We’ll rearrange around availability, which is also how short-notice requests work: if we have a slot, we’ll offer it, but we can’t guarantee one.
Access requirements for cleaners in Enfield
We sort out access before the visit, not on the doorstep. Common arrangements include:
- You’re home to let us in, and leave or stay as you prefer.
- A key safe or lockbox, with the code shared privately.
- Keys left with a neighbour, concierge or agent, with a name and contact number for us.
- Keys collected and returned by arrangement.
- Fobs and entry codes for blocks of flats. Tell us which entrance to use and whether there’s a lift for equipment.
- Alarm details, including how to set it again when we leave.
Parking is worth mentioning. Around Enfield Town and near stations such as Enfield Chase and Gordon Hill, many roads have controlled parking. If a visitor permit is available or there’s a driveway we can use, let us know. It saves time we’d otherwise spend circling the block with a vacuum and a bucket.
For offices, shops and other commercial sites, we’ll agree who holds keys, how the premises are locked up and who to call if something’s wrong on arrival.
What to expect on cleaning day in Enfield
Our cleaner arrives with supplies and equipment unless we’ve agreed you’ll provide them. They work through the agreed list in a sensible order: usually top to bottom and back to front, so dust from shelves and skirting boards isn’t left on a floor that’s already been done.
A few things help the day go well:
- Clear surfaces where you can. We’ll clean around ornaments and paperwork, but clear worktops and bedside tables get a much better result.
- Empty the cupboards if you’ve booked the inside of kitchen units or the fridge cleaned. We can’t clean shelves that are full of tins.
- Plan around drying time if carpets or upholstery are being cleaned. Keep foot traffic off them and open windows if you can.
- Point out anything unusual when we arrive: a sticking tap, a fragile blind, a room you’d rather we left alone.
After building work, expect more time and more stages. Fine plaster and builders’ dust settles on surfaces again after the first wipe and passes straight through an ordinary vacuum, so it’s removed in layers rather than in a single pass.
How we handle special requests
Tell us about these before the visit, ideally when you ask for a quote:
- Delicate surfaces: natural stone worktops, unsealed wood, marble, antique furniture, specialist flooring. We’ll choose products to suit, or use yours if you’d prefer.
- Pets: whether they’ll be home, whether they need to be kept in a room, and anything that shouldn’t be let out.
- Allergies and sensitivities: we’ll adjust the products we use. We can reduce dust and residue, but we can’t promise to eliminate allergens.
- Eco-friendly products: available on request. We check each one is suitable for the surface, as some plant-based cleaners aren’t right for every material.
- Your own products: fine, as long as they’re suitable for the job.
Quality checks before we leave
Before leaving, the cleaner goes back over the agreed task list room by room. That means checking that the bathroom taps and shower screen are free of smears, the kitchen worktops and hob are wiped down, the floors are done to the edges, and every item on the list has actually been ticked off.
If you’re home, it’s a good moment to have a quick look with us. If you’re out, we’ll lock up as agreed and let you know the clean is done.
Aftercare, feedback and our re-clean policy
If something within the agreed scope has been missed, contact us promptly by phone or email, with photos if you can. We’ll arrange to put it right. Whether a return visit applies, and the timeframe for reporting it, depends on the type of job, and we confirm both when you book. That’s especially important for end-of-tenancy cleans, where the check-out date matters.
Feedback also shapes regular cleans. If you’d like more time on the bathroom and less on dusting, tell us and we’ll update your priorities list. Regular visits follow that list, so it should reflect what actually matters in your home.
How the process differs for regular, one-off and commercial cleaning
- Regular cleaning: we agree a priorities list and frequency once, then repeat it, adjusting as your needs change. Deep cleaning and specialist tasks are quoted separately when you need them.
- One-off and tenancy cleaning: photos and a detailed checklist matter most here, because there’s one visit to get it right.
- Commercial cleaning: a walkthrough, an agreed schedule around opening hours and clear key-holding arrangements. Our office cleaning work is usually done early, late or between shifts, so staff and customers aren’t disturbed.
We cover Enfield and the wider EN area, including Enfield Town, Bush Hill Park, Ponders End, Enfield Highway, Enfield Lock, Freezywater, Forty Hill and Cockfosters. Send us your postcode and we’ll confirm whether we can reach you.
Quick answers before you book
Do I need to be home? No. Many customers leave keys or use a key safe. We’ll agree the arrangement in advance.
Do you bring your own supplies? Yes, unless we’ve agreed otherwise.
Are your cleaners insured? Yes. Our cleaners are vetted and insured.
Can I add an oven clean on the day? Ask, but it may not fit into the time booked. It’s better to add extras when we quote.
What if my move-out date changes? Tell us straight away and we’ll rearrange around availability.
